During their visit to the Municipality of Paúl, the entourage of the Minister of the Sea paid a courtesy visit to Hotel Château Georgette—an investment by a couple of Cape Verdean emigrants who returned to their homeland to invest and contribute to Paúl’s development. According to the owners, Château Georgette is scheduled to open to the public in May of this year.
After the visit, the Minister congratulated the couple on their excellent project, noting that it will bring new dynamics to the municipality as well as to the Sea, Culture, and Tourism sectors. He also encouraged the enterprising duo to embrace the “zero km fish” concept, meaning that Cape Verdean hotel establishments will no longer serve frozen fish imported from other islands or countries. He argued that it makes little sense to travel to a destination and consume imported shellfish or other mollusks when our local seas offer such abundant potential.
