On April 14th, Hotel Château Georgette had the privilege of hosting the esteemed President of Cape Verde, Dr. José Maria Neves. Throughout his visit, the President was visibly impressed, highlighting the architecture, decoration, meticulous attention to detail, and the unique sense of morabeza—the warm hospitality one feels upon entering the hotel. He remarked, “you can feel that everything was done with a lot of love, glamour, and warmth.”

He also pointed out that the hotel harmoniously integrates with the surrounding nature and landscapes, and expressed great satisfaction with the sustainable practices adopted, such as the use of solar energy, water recycling, organic planting, and LED lighting, among others. According to him, Hotel Château Georgette is one of the finest and most comprehensive hospitality establishments in the Santo Antão – São Vicente area, and it is sure to attract a new type of tourist to the island thanks to its enhanced tourism offerings.

Moreover, he encouraged emigrants to invest in their homeland to support the country’s development and growth. He concluded his visit by enjoying a traditional Santantonese snack and engaging in a pleasant conversation with the owners, congratulating them on their magnificent enterprise and promising to return after the inauguration.
