"It was with pride that I inaugurated, at the end of the day yesterday, the Hotel Chateau Georgette"published: 03-06-2022It was with pride that I inaugurated, at the end of the day yesterday, the Hotel Chateau Georgette, a 100% national investment, of three Cape Verdeans, emigrants from the Netherlands who returned to the country and decided to invest in a tourism enterprise of reference. Congratulations to Mrs Georgette Pires and to the couple Cláudia Ramos and Nilton Monteiro, for a very special investment, with a very beautiful architecture and well framed in nature. It is a great investment, and is in line with the concept that we want to develop of an ecological tourism, a green hotel, with renewable energy and with a lot of quality. We are pleased that it is in the municipality of Paúl, where there is still a great need for investment in terms of hotels. I wish the investors succes and that they serve as an example so that other emigrants may also invest in their homeland.

Day of reflection and development of environmental awarenesspublished: 22-04-2022Today, April 22nd is Earth Day, a day of reflection and development of environmental awareness. This day should be dedicated to reflection focused on our actions and what we can do to preserve our planet. The Hotel Château Georgette, with this in mind has adopted practices that reflect its environmental and ecological responsibility. These practices consist of using solar energy, reusing water from the pool to water plants, creating a botanical garden and an organic plantation, reusing food scraps as fertilizer or to feed the animals, avoiding the use of plastic, etc. The team also has an environmental awareness that helps standardize actions that help preserve and respect our planet. We intend to adopt many more practices in order to become a hotel recognized for its respect for nature and its sustainability.

President of Cape Verde visits Hotel Château Georgettepublished: 15-04-2022Last April 14th the Hotel Château Georgette had the privilege of receiving the honorable visit of the President of Cape Verde, Dr. José Maria Neves. During the entire visit Mr. President looked dazzled, highlighting the architecture, the decoration, the attention given to every detail and the morabeza that one feels when entering the Hotel, even stating that: "you can feel that everything was done with a lot of love, glamour and warmth". He highlighted the fact that the hotel fits perfectly with the surrounding nature and landscapes, being very pleased with the sustainable practices adopted, such as the use of solar energy, reuse of water, organic planting, use of LED lamps, among others. According to him, the Hotel Château Georgette is one of the best and most complete hotel establishments in the area of Santo Antão - São Vicente and will definitely attract a new type of tourist to the island due to the upgrade in the tourism offer. He took the opportunity to appeal to the emigrants to do the same and invest in their homeland, in order to support the development and growth of their country. He ended his visit with a typical Santantonese snack accompanied by a pleasant conversation with the owners, congratulating them for the magnificent enterprise, promising to return after the inauguration.

President of the National Assembly of Cape Verde visits Hotel Château Georgettepublished: 05-04-2022On the afternoon of March 5, 2022, Hotel Château Georgette received a visit from the President of the National Assembly of Cape Verde, Dr. Austelino Correia, and his office. The "guardian of our democracy" who was welcomed with typical delicacies from Paul stated that the concept of our hotel is very special and unique and congratulated our initiative to use ecological systems, such as solar energy. Dr. Austelino Correia stated that he will return briefly to the Hotel Chateau Georgette and suggests that the Council of Ministers be held at our Hotel at the end of May 2022. The Georgette Group is very honored for this noble visit and looks forward to welcoming you back soon.

Sea Minister's entourage makes courtesy visit to Château Georgettepublished: 18-02-2022Taking advantage of the visit to the Municipality of Paúl, the entourage of the Minister of the Sea made a courtesy visit to the hotel Chateau Georgette. An investment by a couple of Cape Verdean emigrants who returned to their mother land to invest and contribute to Paul's development. Château Georgette will be open to the public in May of this year, according to the owners' information. After visiting, the MM congratulated the couple for the excellent development that will bring a new dynamic to the municipality, and to the sectors of The Sea, Culture and Tourism. He encouraged this enterprising couple to implement the culture of what they called "zero km fish", that is, the hotel units of Cape Verde do not consume frozen fish imported either from other islands or other countries, arguing that it makes no sense to get to a place and eat shellfish or any other mollusk imported from other countries when we have those of our sea this potential.

Project "Children of the Valley"published:09-02-2022As a grandmother, mother and aunt, I like all my children, nieces and nephews. Children are the future and we are here to protect them and help them where we can. For this reason, I commissioned my management team to create the "Children of the Valley" project. As far as I'm concerned, an annual children's party on National Children's Day where as many children from the Paúl valley can enjoy, play and dance. Many of our sisters and brothers from Paul's valley have a life far from easy. Many work in agriculture, women carry heavy materials on their heads with all the consequences it has for their backs. Many live far away or high in the mountains, which makes accessibility very poor. During all the challenges of a family's daily life, especially the children of the valley are "forgotten". This is especially true for children with disabilities. To forget as much as possible these concerns, at least once a year, Georgette organizes a day of leisure and fun for children of the valley during National Children's Day. This is carried out in cooperation with the local municipality in the beautiful park, "Estância Turística de Passagem" of the Valley. It's worth a look, it's a beautiful park. In this way, we hope to contribute to the local social development of the residents of the Valley.

Santo Antão. Municipality of Paúl gets a new Hotelpublished: 09-02-2022It is the Château Georgette hotel, which should be inaugurated in May. According to information advanced by the Inforpress Agency, the enterprise, which will have 15 employees, also integrates other valences, namely bar-restaurant, solarium, SPA, swimming pool, library and a botanical garden.

Santo Antão: Hotel Château Georgette nasce no Paulpublished: 09-02-2022Paul, 09 Feb (Inforpress) – The municipality of Paul will win a new tourist enterprise, the Hotel Château Georgette, a private investment located in Rocha Grande, which is expected to open next May. The hotel, according to partner and manager, Claudia Ramos, has 8 suites, all with private bathrooms and panoramic views of the Paul valley, a presidential suite, also includes two 1 bedroom apartments designed for people with disabilities and a hostel with capacity to host up to 16 people. The enterprise, which will have 15 employees, also integrates other valences, namely bar-restaurant, solarium, SPA, swimming pool, library and a botanical garden. Claudia Ramos told Inforpress that the hotel was inspired by the castle theme and also the story of her mother's life, and is expected to open in May, given that they are still completing the final details of the work. "We want to offer our guests a unique experience of sleeping in a castle and being treated like king and queen. We also want to provide a traditional gastronomic trip," he said. Without specifying the amount invested, Claudia Ramos made it known that the hotel was designed to have five stars, but have not yet started the evaluation process of the same.

The hotel promises to reach high standard and services. “We want our clients to feel like kings and queens and inhence the idea that the valley of Paul deserves a crown,”explains Claudia Ramos (Co-owner and partner of Georgette Group) which is in this great adventure with her mother misses Georgette herself. This fairy tale hotel provides 12 Royal-suites, 8 “Queens” and 4 “Kings”, a cocktail bar, library, pool, spa, theamed events like; high tea’s and culinary workshops suported by a state of the art kitchen in combination with comfort and architectural divineness. Natural from the island of São Vicente, and living for almost 45 years in Europe mother Georgette and her daughter always planed to invest in the Cape Verde Islands. Both owners are experienced world travelers. The conceptof a castle theamed hotel will play a mayor role in order to meet a differentiated and qualifily high standart in tourism offers in the Cape Verde Islands. The choice for the location was a obvious one, "The Island of Santo Antão is nostalig and the valley has a beautifull and scapefuther more the Island of San Antao is also called “The green lung of the Cape Verde islands." In fact, some of the valences that this future hotel will offer has also alot to do with the perfect climate, peace and tranquility for the mountain tourism. Accoring to the promoters this hotel will enhance one of the country's most green Island, the beautiful and rich valleys and wil contribute to the local economy. The hotel will provide more jobs and tourism which will also help to promote and capitalize. This Project comes at the perefect time as the islandof San Antao (Island of the Mountains) is developing and promoting itself. The economic growth will increase the number of tourists visiting Santo Antão. The courage of these ladies, apparently, does not stop here, and without reveiling much, Claudia tells us that shortly after completion Georgette Group intends that they plan to launch another tourist project, also in the Paúl Valley, “three times bigger than Hotel Château Georgette. We wish the owners good luck and succes as they are a great contribution to Cape Verde, tourism and the economy.
